What is GOGOVision?
Peers and Fisher Optometrists in Johannesburg ran a programme that conducted vision screening for school taxi drivers in Johannesburg, called Vision Drive. In partnership with goGOGOgo, Vision Drive tested the eyes of over fifty gogos from Alexandra, and distributed thirty pairs of glasses , providing grandmothers with the joy of increased vision.
Project Aim
GOGOVision aims to increase the number of vision screenings offered to older persons. This will be achieved by expanding the network of partner optometrists, enhancing access to vision screenings, facilitating the distribution of eyeglasses, and ensuring timely referrals for necessary ophthalmological care.
